Denver lifestyle shoot

March 24, 2010

A friend of ours recently contacted me about doing a lifestyle shoot of him to get some updated photos for portfolio.  I love this kind of shoot because it’s different – new locations, different light – a challenge (although, hello, just take a look at him…he’s so great looking, I think I could have had a point and shoot and made him do jumping jacks and gotten great photos of him!).   There were so many great shots, but here is a small sampling of our time together:

I just LOVE this area by the Art Museum!

Special thanks to the Sheraton downtown for the use of 16 Mix for the next three photos.  What a cool space!

Abe’s gorgeous wife, Kimberly, joined us for a few action shots along the 16th Street Mall!

We caught a little pretty light right before sunset.  Love it!

We finished up at the amazing Peaks Lounge in the new Hyatt.  The spectacular view of both the mountains and the city is reason alone to get all dressed up and go down there for cocktails some evening -  I hope to do so soon!

Abe & Kimberly, thanks for all your preparation for the shoot – I had a blast with you two, and I look forward to hanging out again soon!  :)

Love,

miss g

Alright, folks.  I am back, finally, and so so excited to blog some more here in the next week or so.  My poor blog – I try to keep up with it, but when things get busy, it’s the first one to suffer (as far as my business communications go).  Alas, I think being busy is a good thing, and I will take that over struggling to come up with random things to put on my blog!  ;)

As promised, here are some more photos from Jon & Ashleigh’s engagement shoot.  Ah, I love these two!  They are so cool and fun to be with – I just know their wedding is going to be amazing!  I can’t wait to shoot it.   Keep checking the blog this week for some more shoots – I’ve got some fun stuff to share!

I had so much fun exploring the area around Union Station with them (on an incredibly cold, gray day).

Then we stumbled upon the coolest alley!

Wow – this area was lit with all different colors, but it was kind of cool…

Raawwrrr…check her out!  This is one tough chick – it was freezing.  But isn’t she gorgeous?!

And hellooo, handsome!  At least he got to wear a jacket.

Okay, are they not adorable?

Everyone have a great weekend!

Love,

miss g

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Ashleigh and Jon on Sunday for their engagement session.   Oh my goodness!  First of all, they are just a CUTE couple, so sweet to each other.  They’re also amazing people individually, so the world is going to get a treat with the two of them as a married couple – they’re going to make such a difference (I think they already are!).

Here are a few “sneak peek” images…I haven’t even gone through the whole session yet, but I had to post some of my faves so far.

Ashleigh’s sweet (not to mention well-behaved!) dog Mattie joined us…how CUTE is that ear?

I love her expression here…

I played with toning and texture here.  I’m diggin’ the effect.

Aren’t they cute?  They had so many great moments like this.  I love the way he’s looking at her!

gorgeous!!

Fave!

I’m totally in love with this last one – I just think she’s drop dead gorgeous here!

Jon & Ashleigh, I cannot wait for your wedding!  If we got these great pics on a gray, freezing day, imagine what we’ll get in May!   I had so much fun with you.  Oh, and I’ll post some from the rest of the session soon!
Love,

miss g
