A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of flying to Boise, ID to do the one-year photos for my dear friend’s little boy.  Oh my.  He is so cute, so smart (not a surprise, given his parents both are Ph.D.’s), and just a pleasure to be around.  I stayed with them for the weekend, and had to pull out my camera on several occasions to capture his cuteness.  I also got some good down time with my friend, and really enjoyed Boise.  There is an amazing running/biking trail just outside their house that goes for miles and miles, so I enjoyed some good runs.  We went downtown for dinner one evening, and I had the biggest, best bacon cheeseburger west of the Mississippi.  All in all, it was an awesome trip, and I was so thankful for the time with my friend, her husband, and their little cutie.  If only my guys had been there!

This was shortly after my arrival – he wasn’t too sure about me yet!

Showing off his “SO BIG” moves for me.

I love this collage.  You can see that he warmed up to me!

They have an awesome little stream behind their house, so we had the little guy sit in the grass.  He was mesmerized!

These next few family shots are so fun.

I’ll end with these two – playing in his nursery. :)

family fun in the park

July 16, 2010

I’ve known this family since I had my first son and joined a playgroup – the mom, Lisa, was so kind and welcoming to me as I waded the unknown waters of playgroups, and we’ve been friends since.  She and her husband now have three gorgeous kids with huge brown eyes – check them out!   We enjoyed playing in the park at sunset (once we were properly covered with bug spray, that is), and I caught some great moments of their adorable family.

The oldest, Brooklyn, is such a pretty little lady now…she showed me some of her dance moves!

A.J., who is my older son’s age, was full of energy and charmed me with his talk of dinosaurs.

Sweet little Kamryn – those eyes!  I just wanted to eat her up!!

They just played around as a family – it was so sweet.  I love my job!

I love this little moment between Lisa & Kamryn!

The big kids had a good time looking for fish in the pond – cute!

Until next time,

Oh baby!

July 15, 2010

I’ve been neglecting my blog again, but the reasons have been good…a lot of work, and oh yeah, a baby!  The title of this post is appropriate, because today I heard my THIRD baby’s heartbeat for the first time.  Yes, you read right, I am expecting a new little one in January.  I don’t care who you are or what situation you’re in, to hear the sound of your baby’s heart is simply mind-blowing and always emotional for me.  I can’t believe we’re going to add to the craziness of our already busy household, but I know that God must have something in mind for us by letting this happen!

So, with babies on my mind, I wanted to do a long-overdue post of sweet baby Olivia and her big brother, Logan.   Logan charmed me from the moment I entered their home, singing songs, running around, and talking away.  Olivia, who her parents said had always been sleepy, decided to be wide awake for me!  I took advantage and captured those beautiful eyes.  I wonder if they’ll be as blue as her big brother’s!  They are gorgeous!!

Is this one handsome older brother, or what?!

Beautiful girl, ready to greet the world.

I love this little collage.

I also love this one: I think they’re trying to figure each other out.

Love,
