Laura and Dan: Expecting

March 15, 2011

Dan and Laura are good friends, and I was so excited when they asked me to capture this beautiful time in their lives.  As you can see from the photos, they are just gorgeous, and I am so excited to meet this new little one who will be here very soon.  Laura is just glowing right now, and she even wowed me with some difficult yoga moves while we were shooting – she is one amazing mama!

Enjoy these images of my time with Laura and Dan – I know I enjoyed capturing them!  :)

just look at that perfect belly and beautiful mama!

Laura & Dan – you guys are amazing and I am SO excited to meet your little one.  Thank you for hanging with me and being rock stars during the shoot.  :)

A few weeks ago (time is flying by!), we had the opportunity to go to Aspen with friends and stay with Megan and Roy in the simply amazing house they rented there for the summer.  They were awesome hosts, and we had a great weekend with them.  My husband, Ryan, got to go cheer Roy on as he rode 100 miles in the Leadville 100 mountain bike race that weekend – what a feat!  He and Megan are newlyweds, married around this time last year, and are so cute together!  They asked me to do a session of them with their two sweet pups, and I was happy to oblige.  They had a fabulous hiking trail just outside their house, and we ventured out there for our session.  As you can see, it was well worth the effort of dog wrangling and hiking in nice clothing!  Thanks again, Megan and Roy – you two are great hosts and we can’t wait to see you again!

Was this an amazing setting, or what?

How cute are they?!

Gorgeous.  Enough said!

I have to end on this one…how fun!  The dogs were SO good and look like they’re smiling at me!!  Love, love it!

Denver lifestyle shoot

March 24, 2010

A friend of ours recently contacted me about doing a lifestyle shoot of him to get some updated photos for portfolio.  I love this kind of shoot because it’s different – new locations, different light – a challenge (although, hello, just take a look at him…he’s so great looking, I think I could have had a point and shoot and made him do jumping jacks and gotten great photos of him!).   There were so many great shots, but here is a small sampling of our time together:

I just LOVE this area by the Art Museum!

Special thanks to the Sheraton downtown for the use of 16 Mix for the next three photos.  What a cool space!

Abe’s gorgeous wife, Kimberly, joined us for a few action shots along the 16th Street Mall!

We caught a little pretty light right before sunset.  Love it!

We finished up at the amazing Peaks Lounge in the new Hyatt.  The spectacular view of both the mountains and the city is reason alone to get all dressed up and go down there for cocktails some evening -  I hope to do so soon!

Abe & Kimberly, thanks for all your preparation for the shoot – I had a blast with you two, and I look forward to hanging out again soon!  :)

Love,

miss g
