This little guy is one of my favorites – I have been photographing him since he was a newborn, and I cannot believe he is already turning two!  As always, I enjoyed hanging with him and his super cool mama during his recent fall photo shoot (although the temps were still warm enough for short sleeves!).  What a fun, smiley dude he is.  Happy Birthday, Cade!  :)

Love this one!

taking it all in…

I love photos of mommies with their little boys!

Cade, I hope being two is awesome!

Maybe it is because I am anticipating the arrival of my third baby in a couple of months and a new niece OR nephew sometime this month, but this newborn session was such a joy for me…I loved holding this tiny, sweet little girl and hanging out with her awesome parents (I went to college with her dad!).  She arrived early, and though she was three weeks old for this shoot, she was still so tiny.  Everything about this shoot was great, and I am so excited to share these sneak peeks with her parents!

So cozy!

This girl has some cool parents who definitely adore her!  :)

Don’t miss the bloomers.  Precious!

Love these shots of mom & dad taking in their little girl…

One final close up.  Perfection.

Zach and Francine, I can’t wait for you to see the entire collection – very soon!

Love,

This family is one of my all-time favorites.  Not only are they some of our dearest friends, but they are some of my best clients.  :)   We decided to meet up in Wash Park for some photo fun, and they did not disappoint!

Nothing like a little silliness to get things started!

How great is this?

Sweet little guy climbing the tree…

…and an oh-so-handsome older brother!  Love those blue eyes!

And I have to end on this…so much fun!

Lauren, Ryan, and the boys – we love you!  :) Thanks for the fun and for the opportunity to capture your beautiful family!

more City Park adventures

November 9, 2010

I love photographing this gorgeous family.  Last year, I had the pleasure of doing their photos before sweet baby sister arrived, and this year it was so fun to include her.  The two boys are close in age to my guys, and I just love watching their fun together – it reminds me so much of my family.  They really enjoyed  running/rolling down a big hill over and over towards the end of the session – jeans were dirty, but it was the perfect activity for these boys.

Bronwyn and Scott, thanks so much for the great time capturing the fun and adventure of your family!

Gotta love being thrown in the air by daddy!

And hanging out with mom is super fun, too.  :)

So sweet!

Love,

miss g

This fun family is special to me: Ryan and I have been friends with Jimmy, the dad, since college.  We were friends then, and somehow we all ended up in Denver despite mid-western roots.  Ry and I were at the party Jimmy and Amanda, his wife, went to on their first date, and I remember liking her immediately.  We enjoyed their mountain wedding a few years ago.  Now, years later, they are parents to one ADORABLE little guy who completely rocked this photo shoot.  I was impressed by his big, abundant smiles and sweet demeanor.  I am so happy for them and loved so many of their photos that I had to do a few story boards to incorporate more of them into my blog!

How much fun are they?!

Can you say “gorgeous?”  Love this one – even the sweet doggie cooperated!

This is one handsome little guy – I can’t get enough of those blue eyes and big smiles!

I know I’ve already mentioned how fun they are, but here are a couple more examples – this little guy is in for some good times!

Finally, I had to show these sweet daddy/son moments…great times!

Jimmy and Amanda, thanks so much for the honor of capturing your beautiful family in photos.  It was such fun!

Doggone Fun!

October 12, 2010

I am an animal lover, and lately I’ve had several opportunities to photograph dogs.  When Mary contacted me and said she’d like photos of her husband and her AND their two dogs, I got excited.  It’s always such fun to capture the spirit of dogs, and I so appreciate their excitement to meet someone new!  :)   These two, Bitte and Danke (what clever names – “please” and “thank you” in German) gave me a happy welcome and proceeded to show off their numerous tricks for me – I was in love!  Plus, their owners, Mary and John, were not so bad themselves – a very kind and welcoming couple.  I shot these images in their beautiful back yard!  Enjoy!

What a great couple.  I love this photo.

Danke, looking as cute as can be.

Bitte, charming me with those big eyes.

I got to witness some of the pups’ “school.”  They rolled over, stood up, and crawled.  I’d say they definitely deserve a passing grade.  :)

I’ll end with these two of John and Mary – such sweet images.

John and Mary, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home.  I enjoyed being with you and your two little ones!

sweet siblings

October 8, 2010

When the mom of these three adorable kids contacted me for photos, I was so excited.  We’ve known them for a few years now, and they are all just beautiful.  They recently added a third baby – a boy – to the family, and he is well-loved by his two big sisters!  I had a blast with them recently, as you can see below.  Enjoy!

The girls started out by showing me their play room – which had some lovely light.

Here is the oldest telling me about her favorite toys.  I love those lashes!

Gorgeous little sister was curious about my camera!  Those eyes are stunning.

More lovely lashes…

Look at this guy – he could not be any cuter!

I had to do a story board of each child because there were just too many fun shots!  Here is the little charmer.

This girl is simply adorable!

Beautiful and sweet oldest sister…

These photos below totally crack me up – you never know what you’re going to get with three little ones! (Don’t worry, mom, we did get some of them all looking at the camera – this just made me laugh!)

Sweet sister moments!

What a fun session!  I am so thankful that I get to spend my work time with people like them!

One of my favorites!

September 30, 2010

This family started out as clients (friends of our friends) and I am so thankful to say that now they are dear friends and cycling/triathlon buddies!   I am always so honored to do their photos, and I think their two kids are some of the cutest I get to work with.  We enjoyed some great sunset light/sun flare, and I had such a hard time narrowing down photos of their kids that I did a big ole collage of them!  :)

Ahh…I love me some pretty light…and a beautiful family!

Um, can you say cute?!

What a handsome guy!

Gorgeous little girl!

I love these photos…they are so real and adorable.

How sweet is this?!

A sweet moment with daddy.

I realize this one below is a little unconventional and not in my normal style, but I love playing with alternative toning and textures.  Plus, just look at his face – pure joy!

What a fun session!

Thanks, guys, for such a fun time!

Love,

It’s that time of the year…

September 17, 2010

Can you believe that it’s time to be thinking about photo sessions with Christmas/Holiday cards in mind?  I can’t either.  But I wanted to do a quick post to let you know that if you had photos in mind for cards, you need to book soon.  My free dates are quickly filling up, and I have heard from many people who say they’d like to book.  My time is very limited, so check out your calendar and give me a call!  I am offering discounted sessions (that means $150 during the week; $200 on weekends) and a $35 print credit (which can go towards cards or whatever you’d like) from October 15 through 30 ONLY.  Starting in November, I will be booking sessions on a VERY limited basis, with the hopes of starting my maternity leave at the beginning of December.

The cards I offer, by the way, are so beautiful!  I offer a variety of different choices (from very modern and chic to a more traditional style) and they are completely custom!  You can change the wording, colors, fonts, etc.   They come in packs of 25 with envelopes.  I am happy to show some of my 2010 card options.  Below, you can see just a couple of the cards that I made for 2009 (yes, they are actual cards the clients used).  They are press printed on beautiful linen or pearl paper – I got so many compliments on them last year!

This is the front of the card (this is a 5×7 inch flat card)

…and this is the back!

This one below is the front of a 5×7 greeting card style (it opens up and has a “spread” in the middle).

When you open it, it has this image below as the TOP of the spread:

…and this shown below was the bottom of the inside spread:

…and shown below is the back of the card.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you to schedule your sessions!

A few weeks ago (time is flying by!), we had the opportunity to go to Aspen with friends and stay with Megan and Roy in the simply amazing house they rented there for the summer.  They were awesome hosts, and we had a great weekend with them.  My husband, Ryan, got to go cheer Roy on as he rode 100 miles in the Leadville 100 mountain bike race that weekend – what a feat!  He and Megan are newlyweds, married around this time last year, and are so cute together!  They asked me to do a session of them with their two sweet pups, and I was happy to oblige.  They had a fabulous hiking trail just outside their house, and we ventured out there for our session.  As you can see, it was well worth the effort of dog wrangling and hiking in nice clothing!  Thanks again, Megan and Roy – you two are great hosts and we can’t wait to see you again!

Was this an amazing setting, or what?

How cute are they?!

Gorgeous.  Enough said!

I have to end on this one…how fun!  The dogs were SO good and look like they’re smiling at me!!  Love, love it!

Love,

miss g
